Since the white fiber is produced by the film splitting method, the dispersion in fineness is relatively large, generally from 2dtex to 10dtex. The brown fiber is wet-spinned, so the fiber fineness is relatively fixed. At present, it is 3.3dtex in foreign countries, and the single yarn strength is generally above 4dtex in China. The length is generally 51mm~75mm.
The melting point of PTFE is 327 °C, and it can be used for a long time at a high temperature of 260 °C, and the instantaneous use temperature can exceed 300 °C. PTFE cannot burn, and its limiting oxygen index reaches 95%.
The strength is low and the breaking elongation is small. The breaking strength of the imported brown fiber is only 1.9cn/dtex, while the strength of the white imported fiber basically does not exceed 4cn/dtex. The friction coefficient is low, so the dust is easy to fall off on the surface of the filter material. The surface tension of the fiber is large, and it has good water repellency. The fiber is finer, the filtration efficiency is average, and the filter material has a weight of 750-800g. The textile performance is not good, the cohesive force is low, and static electricity is easily generated in the fiber spinning process.
